Little and Large

Ever since their last meeting Grandson Two has been mildly obsessed with his uncle, demanding to view H’s Instagram reels on endless repeat in a way that must have driven the Cardiff crew mildly demented. Yesterday morning he was told that they’d be meeting again today, after which he apparently spent the rest of the day saying “Hayyee mowwow?” every few minutes, and on arrival at our house at lunchtime today he hadn’t even made it out of the car before he was demanding “Hayyee!”. However when H arrived, B minor was so overcome that he didn’t say a word for the next twenty minutes: star-struck, obviously.

By mid-afternoon, by which time we were all out in the garden (L and H having been tasked with putting up a new bird feeding station for their ancients), the Baby Brother had got over his shyness and was back to ordering Hayyee around. Quite a bit of chasing and swinging went on, but the best game was a reprise of the one B minor devised on the last visit, in which they jumped off the patio steps on his command: “JUPP!”

Family times are the absolute best.
