This was the venue for the wedding of my cousin Helen and her fiancĂ© Jon – a very happy occasion, in a charming setting. I took this view as we arrived, when the Hall was set up ready for the civil ceremony; after the ceremony we all went outside and enjoyed a drinks reception in the lovely garden, while the staff reconfigured this space into a dining room for the wedding breakfast.
The wedding was themed in peacock colours, and the bride wore small peacock feathers in her hair, in memory of her younger sister who died tragically four years ago; she was in the thoughts of all the family, and very much missed.
Helen and Jon seem ideally suited to each other, so it was a great pleasure to see them marry. I have every confidence that they’ll be very happy, and I wish them much love and laughter.
