Wet play

All our hopes for a long, leisurely family day in the garden were stymied by the beastly weather, so we had to adapt. After lunch at BTP in Stratford, H went off to do some work, while the rest of the party braved the Butterfly Farm. Which, unsurprisingly, was absolutely rammed. The Boy Wonder was happy at first, but lost interest in the outing when I wouldn’t let him adjust a water pump he’d found, so at that point we admitted defeat and went home.

Half way through dinner S arrived and made the party complete, after undertaking an heroic voyage down the M1 at the end of a full day’s work.
