I didn’t see the beginning of this encounter, so I can’t tell you whether he brought her a bug as a present, or simply sneaked up behind her while she was having her lunch – but either way he was successful: as long as she was chewing she was quite happy.

I spent most of today in the garden, battling weeds which seem to have rooted through to the Antipodes, and stopping at intervals to take photos for the monthly #1Day12Pics challenge in A Year With my Camera. I’m now zorsted, though quietly pleased with the progress I managed to make.
The weather forecast for tomorrow suggests that my reward for today’s efforts might just be a day sitting under a sun umbrella, Kindle in one hand and a glass of something fizzily delicious in the other. Here’s hoping!
