It was both foggy and freezing overnight, and if I’d shaped myself and got out in the garden early this morning, I’d have had an extensive pick of frosty subjects at my disposal. But by the time I actually staggered out, the thaw was in full swing and I was reduced to delving (damply) in the shadiest corners to capture any frost crystals at all.
I did like this though – a hint of rime still hanging on to the spider web, while the hazel leaf appears to bend under the weight of melt water.
