Ice Cream Sunday

I’m getting picky about my grasshoppers now – not for recording purposes, obviously, but in terms of the ones I photograph. This afternoon I specifically went looking for a pink one, but this is the best I managed. Which sounds a bit disparaging, I now realise, but isn’t meant to. I was wearing pink trousers and a pale green fleece myself yesterday, so I thought we toned pretty well – the Ice Cream Sundae Sisters.

Other than half an hour pestering the Orthoptera in Tilly’s field, I spent almost the whole day in the garden. R and I cut all the grass between us, and I did the edging and took out some spent weeds wild flowers. R had a go on the ride-on mower and I think he’s fallen a bit in love with it, which is entirely reasonable because it’s a babe.
