Snow day

It was, I can assure you, absolutely vile on the Millennium Bridge this evening: sleeting horizontally in a cutting wind. My lovely leather back-pack is currently sitting in the airing cupboard, drying out, so I was relieved to find that I hadn’t also managed to push the 5DIII beyond its weather sealing.

We had a great Blipmeet today at Tate Modern, with more attendees than I can remember names – I’m sure someone will have compiled a list, but suffice it to say that the group photo took about fifteen minutes to organise. We went to see The Radical Eye, which I heartily recommend – Sir Elton certainly does have a good eye for a photograph. We also did a lot of talking, and eating, and drinking tea and coffee, and nattering; and along the way I took a couple of hundred photos. Tomorrow I’ll sort them out properly, but for tonight I’ll just give you two – the extra is a (rainy) daylight shot from the viewing platform at the top of the Tate, looking across the top of the same bridge towards St Paul’s.

Many thanks to HildasRose and NicoiseAnnie for herding cats organising.
